Rev. Samuel P. Bellino, S.J., Director of Legacy Planning for the California Province of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), oversees planned giving activities over a five-state region (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah). These duties consist of cultivating, soliciting, and promoting current and future gifts for the Province that require the use of estate planning techniques and instruments or that have significant financial and tax consequences. His duties also include production of a weekly e-newsletter, semiannual planned giving printed newsletters, web content, and parish seminars.

Fr. Sam earned two master’s degrees in Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University. He received a CFRM from the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy. Rounding out his education, he studied Philosophy and English at Loyola University in New Orleans.

Fr. Sam has been a Jesuit for 36 years, ordained a priest for 26 years, and worked in some form of Advancement for the last 16 years.
